Florida’s Latest Attempt to Criminalize Photography

Florida recently passed cs/sb 1246, a bill that originally sought to make it a felony to photograph a farm even if you were on public lands.

Welcome to the New Design of FadedBeauty.com

This site has been in need of a serious overhaul for quite some time now so I have finally managed to find the time to make it happen. Although I loved the design and unique function of my old site, it has long since surpassed its original intention of being primarily used for submission directly to creative directors. With the expansion of my business endeavors into new realms, such as my recent entry into the art show circuit, I needed a site that was more user-friendly, content rich, and could be better optimized for search engines.

As more and more people move away from their traditional computer based web browsing and towards modern smartphones and tablets, it is important for all businesses to keep up with this trend and ensure their web content is available to all that seek it. My old website was built entirely in Flash; in today’s web landscape that kind of site has very little use to the average business. Although Flash does still have its place on the web, its role is becoming greatly diminished. Advancements in JavaScript libraries such as Jquery (which is what is used for the animations here on the new site) are allowing for the creation of dynamic and engaging websites that, several years ago, would have required Flash.

With this new site I am going to commit to providing the best content I possibly can. You will find multiple galleries of my photography work under the main navigation links of “fine art photography“, “portraiture and fashion photography“, and “commercial photography“. Information on my web design, print design, and web development can be found under “design”. Here in the FadedBeauty.com blog I will be posting my most recent photos, details of projects I am working on, stories of my travels, and other interesting posts on topics related to photography and design.

If you would like to keep up with the latest from me be sure to add my rss feed or add my fan page on Facebook. The Facebook page gets a feed when any new posts are added.
